Kinder Parents,

Please join us tonight for our Kinder Orientation 6-7pm. This is a time for you to hear an overview of the Kinder Curriculum and the expectations for your child(ren) throughout the school year.
We are requesting "Parents Only" in order to give the teachers time to talk with you and answer any questions as needed.
Each teacher will host their own orientation in their classroom.
We look forward to seeing you tonight.

Thank you,
Tara Bailey

Parents,
If you are wanting to walk your child to class tomorrow, you will be asked to provide proper identification and get a RAPTOR badge in the front office. This is the common practice throughout the school year. Over the last three days, we have made arrangements to monitor and assist parents with helping their students begin the school year. Thank you for your diligence in ensuring all students are safe!
If you feel that your child needs support getting to class, please let one of our staff members or a safety patrol student know at the time of drop off. We will assist them until they feel comfortable finding their way through the halls. Thank you for helping our students becoming leaders!

KINDER ORIENTATION- Thursday Night 6-7pm
Your child's kinder orientation will be held in your child's classroom. The teachers will cover the curriculum and answer any questions you may have at this time. In order to give parents adequate time and attention, we are requesting this event to be parents only. We want you to feel comfortable with the Kinder Curriculum Expectations.

On another note, today, if you received a translated eBlast from me (another language other than English), I do apologize. It seems that the system has record of the various languages enrolled at Tuscany. The computer program automatically translated my English message regarding the bus delays. I will look into how to address the concern as it seems it wasn't properly translated. All of my messages are written in English.

Have a wonderful night,
Tara Bailey

Tuscany's Dismissal

8/22/2016

Parents,
Thank you for a great start to the school year! It was a wonderful and smooth beginning of the day. It was also extra special with our visitors: Congressman Will Hurd, Superintendent Brian Gottardy, Board President Shannon Grona, and Board of Trustee Tony Jaso. What an honor to have them here to share in our morning!
Our staff has been working with the students and parents to determine the mean of transportation for all of our students. We will begin dismissal at 2:40pm (Students will move a few minutes before in order to practice the routine with their teachers the first few days). All car riders will be in the front of the school. Bus riders will be out back with any parent park and pick up car riders. * Please note that car riders leaving with “Parent Park & Pickup” will not leave the class line. They will go with the other car riders out front and then be dismissed after 2:50. We are clarifying this expectation so that we can address some of the safety concerns that we have received. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Daycare Riders and Walkers will be properly escorted to the gym areas to begin their dismissal procedures in those areas. Our walkers will have crossing guards to assist if they are crossing Wilderness Oak.
Please note that the car rider line will take a little longer the first week of school as students learn the routine, recall the process, and new drivers begin participating.
Thank you for your patience and for understanding the need for specific routines as we dismiss almost 850 students.

Thank you,
Tara Bailey

Parents,

Welcome Back!
Our weekly eblast information went out a little earlier than I had anticipated. My apologies that I did not alter the date appropriately. This link will contain the same message; however, I have added some information below on the morning arrival if you are walking your child to class.
You are allowed to walk your child to class without a RAPTOR Badge tomorrow by:
Signing one of the sign-in sheets in the front entrance and/or rotunda;
Take a VISITOR sticker;
Walk your child to their designated waiting area (Kinder & 5th- Burges' Gym; 1st & 4th Grades- Fields' Gym; 2nd & 3rd Grades- Cafeteria)- We will have student leaders, staff, and volunteers helping direct you to the appropriate location;
You will wait with your child until the teachers arrive to walk you to class around 7:35a.m.;
If you arrive after 7:35a.m., you will be released directly to the classroom.
Thank you for helping us make the first day run smoothly!
Again, we will have Congressman Will Hurd, Dr. Gottardy, and some of our Board of Trustees present along with the media.
We are looking forward to a fabulous first day with our Tigers!
