Hello Tuscany Tiger Families!
I joined the Tiger family two years ago when my family moved here from the Dallas area. I jumped right in to help on the PTA board so I could meet other families and get to know the school and administration quickly. I had a great experience that first year as the chair over the PTA’s Reflections contest and helping with the Young Master’s Art Exhibit. Last year a learned so much serving as President. This will be a year unlike any other, but hopefully we are still able to help enrich our Tigers education and support our amazing Tuscany Heights Staff! Never before has being a PTA member meant so much to me. As our national, state and local officials grapple with how to keep our education system effective and safe, I am grateful to have my name counted when the PTA organization gives those leaders a parent perspective. I know our Texas PTA has been lobbying for STAAR testing not to count this year and also for more local school board control about how and when to have kids go back into the classroom to learn. Please consider joining our PTA to make your voice heard. I hope that you will find our PTA website helpful and informative as the year progresses; please check back regularly for updates, new information and to stay connected to our campus all year long. On our website you can join PTA, buy our awesome spirit wear for students to wear on Fridays (and for the whole family to represent Tuscany Heights), and give a Greenback donation! You’ll also find our PTA calendar, our “Faculty Favorites” lists of all your teacher’s favorite things, and access to backpack flyers all year long. While we are not allowed to volunteer at the school at this time, we encourage you to sign up to be notified of volunteer opportunities when they do become available. I really hope that you’ll consider joining our PTA family as member, a volunteer, or board member, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to get you started on your PTA journey.
