Good Morning THE Families! I am sending out my message earlier today in hopes of reminding or recruiting some more help today.
DON'T FORGET
Campus Cleanup! - Tigers, "Put First Things First" by getting our campus ready for the 1st day of school! Come clean up the THE campus on Sunday, August 16th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Bring your gloves to help pick up trash and pull weeds. Also, bring a water bottle and sunscreen. We will supply trash bags. Park in the back of school to sign in and receive a certificate for your community service hours. All Tigers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Thank you from your Community Service and Campus Beautification PTA Chairs!
Welcome to the excitement of starting a new school year. The teachers are officially back on contract tomorrow but they have been giving so much of their time already to prepare classrooms. What a great group of teachers we have!!!! We are setting sail this year with a lighthouse/nautical theme as we anticipate meeting our Leadership Lighthouse Status this fall. Help us enjoy this theme as we anchor more leadership roles and welcome new student captains to our Tuscany Ship.
This week is very important because it is the highly anticipated time for students to find out who their new teacher will be for 2015-2016 school year. We have classroom lists in the making and should be ready to hand to teachers late Monday afternoon. Due to a full day of training, it will be hard for them to reach out prior to late afternoon. Your family may even receive a call on Tuesday, August 18th. We apologize for any inconvenience but the beginning of the year staff development is required and crucial. We are using video messaging sent via email again this year so that your child can SEE his or her teacher. If you are having any difficulty with finding out your teacher after 1pm on Tuesday, August 18th, please call the office or come a few minutes earlier for Meet the Teacher. We can help problem solve at that time.

UPDATED: Students find out their teacher’s name starting today; Teachers will send out video messages after training on Monday or on Tuesday, August 18th prior to 1pm. *** Please know due to Monday’s staff development and district convocation on Tuesday morning, our teachers will work hard to get the video messaging sent prior to 1pm on Tuesday, August 18th. Please wait to call the office until after that time if you have not heard from a teacher. Technology sometimes takes longer with several using the server.

Calling Volunteers to Prepare for Back to School! We are looking for volunteers to help prepare Tuscany Heights for the new school year. We want our Meet the Teacher nights to be a great experience for our families. The current opportunities include assembling welcome packets, preparing spirit orders, distributing school supply packs as well as setup for and hosting/working at Meet the Teacher. Wacky for Khaki! – Be proactive this year by collecting new school uniforms and underwear for our sister school-East Terrell Hills! Look for the donation box in the entryway 8/17-9/30. *Uniforms in sizes 4-14 and underwear in sizes 4-8. *khaki, black, or navy blue slacks, Bermuda length shorts, skirts/skorts *short-sleeve and long-sleeve solid white, navy or hunter green polo shirts.
