Parents and Students,

Thank you for a fabulous first semester! Take time to enjoy your family and SHARPEN YOUR SAW! We will miss them but this time will allow our staff Covey time as well. Resting and relaxing is an integral part of being the best you! Stay safe and happy travels!

As I traveled to see each of the classrooms, my desk filled with gifts and cards. Thank you for making me feel so special. I will be sure to get thank you notes out soon!

What a great gift being the principal of such wonderful staff, students, and families!

Watch D.O.G.S. Donuts with Dad - Thursday, January 8

Calling all Watch D.O.G.S! Paws for a minute and join us for Donuts with Dads, an informative meeting about serving as a Hero of the Hallway at Tuscany Heights! We'll meet in the library on Thursday, 9/18 from 7:15-7:45. Come learn about the program and schedule your dates to be a Watch DOG on campus!

Save the Date – January 25 – T.H.E Night with the Spurs!

Run For The Heights Race Registration

Online registration is now OPEN!! Race registration contests flyers and forms have gone home. You can start collecting registrations from family & friends to earn cool rewards. Are you not able to make it to Run For The Heights? You can still be a "Spirit Runner" for only a $10 donation. Contribute to Run For The Heights while you sleep in for Tusky!! These 100% taxable donations will still count towards the registration contests! (No t-shirts or goody bags provided for spirit runners.)

Parents,

It has been tradition that we dress in PJ Bottoms and Spirit Shirts the last day of the semester because almost every (if not every classroom) participates in many holiday readings. We are extending this opportunity once again for our students. We do have to remember our dress code: no gowns, spaghetti straps, pj tops, slippers, etc. However, please feel free to wear pj bottoms and spirit shirts while they curl up to many good books before the holiday break starts.

Eat for a Cause –Wednesday, December 17 is Eat for a Cause with Carols at the Corner – Corner Bakery Café is hosting a caroling night for Tuscany Height’s very own Tiger Beat Choir. The evening begins at 4pm and runs until closing with 15% of the proceeds going to Tuscany Heights! Fa la la la yum!

Parents and Students,

This is our last week of the 2014-15 first semester of school! We’ve had an exciting time with the students through learning and extracurricular activities. We look forward to next semester for even more success.

This week, your children will finalize their learning on 2nd nine weeks material, participate in a school wide sing-along, visit their clubs for the 2nd time, and enjoy a holiday celebration. It will be a busy week. We can’t wait!!!

T. H. E. Giving Tree will be displayed in the library. Each STAR is labeled with the Name, Age and Gender of a student.

Please parents take a STAR, purchase the gift, wrap, attach the STAR to the gift and return to Tuscany by December 18th.

Fifth Grade Activities – Congratulations to our Fifth Grade T-shirt design finalists – Cara Cervenka, Michalea Rouse, Zach Besson, Cassie Westlund, and Francesca Morales. The winner of the contest is Cassie Westlund.

Shirts are being sold by preorder only and are $15. ORDER FORMS are available online and are due December 12.   All proceeds benefit 5th grade activities. Shirts will be delivered to students in January.

Gift Wrapping for our Teachers – Come and help us show some appreciation for our staff by gift-wrapping their presents on the stage on Friday, December 12. This is the same day as our PE Dance Day, so if you have some time between dances come join us!

PTA General Meeting - Come and see the winning shirt design as the Fifth Grade presents “Surfin’ Santa” at the PTA General Meeting Tuesday, December 2. The Fifth Grade Activities committee will be recruiting chaperones and committee members as well as selling the Fifth Grade t-shirts. We’ll hear from our Watch D.O.G.S, get an update from the Lighthouse Team, and get an update on Run for the Heights. We’ll also recognize some deserving community members with our Texas PTA Life Member awards. Join us at 6:30 Tuesday night!
