2014 Classroom Contest Flyer 2-5-14

Severe winter weather closed all schools in North East ISD on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.

As a provision to these types of events, NEISD designates severe weather make up days when updating the academic calendar each school year. District administrators have determined that Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, will serve as the make up day for students. They should report to class as normal on that day.

*Tuscany Heights Leadership Night: Most Valuable Leaders (MVL) 6:00pm- Jan. 29th for K-2, Jan. 30th for 3rd-5th (Flyer Attached)
Think Win-Win Tigers! Stop by the Run for the Heights table at both Leader in Me nights and register for our 4th Annual Run for the Heights 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run on 2/22/14! When you register on these nights, you will receive a "One-Night" Homework Pass or a special spirit stick! Support our class contest and help your child's class win fun and healthy

Register now for the 4th Annual Run for the Heights, 5K, Kids' Fun Run & Health Fair!  This year's emcee will be KENS 5 Sports Anchor and Reporter, Vinnie Vinzetta.  Again, there will be awesome awards for top 5K participants from iRun, Mays Family YMCA, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.  Following the races, visit the Health Fair to learn more about health and wellness topics.  Visit the Sponsor Expo to learn about area businesses.  Watch the exciting fitness demonstrations.  Don't miss this year's Run for the Heights! Register today.

We will host our Leadership Night this week showcasing a large group of student leaders. Attached you will find the MVL (Most Valuable Leader Flyer/Invite). We are separating the grade levels this year due to the large number of participants we have involved in this night. Thank you for supporting this year’s leaders and we hope to see you there!

Once again, help us welcome Dr. Bobbi Turnbo to Tuscany Heights Elementary in February. She will be my principal substitute while I am out on maternity leave. I expect that this will occur between Feb. 12th-19th. She is excited to be here with us and we are truly appreciative that we get to have her here. She comes with much experience and expertise!

Thinking about doing a little spring cleaning? In early March we will begin collecting books for the annual NEISD Used Book Sale. This is a district wide event that raises money for our school. The more books we donate to the sale, the more money we bring home to Tuscany Heights! So if you have old books that your family no longer needs, please hold on to them for a little longer.
