Your child's STAAR Confidential Student Report went home with them today so
  that you can see how well they performed on the STAAR Assessments. Over the
  next few weeks, we will continue providing instruction based on the strengths
  and weaknesses of your child. Therefore, we will restructure our intervention
  time again now that we have recent STAAR data. We are proud of our 5th
graders!

Percussion Clinic

Parents,

We have a few upcoming events we would like to have our staff and students celebrate/honor with their attire. If you would like your child(ren) to participate, please see the following:

April 18, 2013--- King Antonio will make a quick visit (15 minutes) to T.H.E. All staff and students are encouragd to wear "fiesta" colors. 
April 19, 2013--- All staff and students are encouraged to wear their running shoes to support Boston and the Boston Marathon Runners.
April 29, 2013--- We encourage all staff and students to wear "black and white" in honor of our Fan-stache-stic Volunteers!

Percussion Clinic Flyer April 2013

Parents,

Please know that we experienced some mixed emotions today during 4th Grade recess. Our staff and students were surprised by a wounded deer on the playground today. The deer was obviously hurt and scared while running all around the playground area. Our staff and students were great respondents to the intrusion and reacted appropriately. The deer did run into a student swinging before making a quick leap off campus. The student was immediately assisted by Mrs. Forsyth, School Nurse, and Admin Team. Mom happened to be on campus to assist with the medical attention as well. Despite a small ice pack, he is doing great! We called "indoor recess" for the remaining classes to ensure the deer did not return as well as time to properly clean the playground equipment. The students were all very surprised yet anxious about the unique situation. I am sure they will all have stories. We are thankful for the safety of our staff and students!
