I hope it has been a great weekend for all of you. We look forward to seeing the students back at school tomorrow.
I wanted to share this link shared by one of our parents! It is nice to see the hard work of our THE students and staff recognized. So proud of them!

Thank you for helping us secure student safety here at Tuscany Heights Elementary! We have a few recent concerns at the front traffic light and want to bring to your attention that Bexar County has reached out to a consulting company to investigate the intersection for support. We may start seeing new signs and possibly a new traffic light. In the meantime, please avoid using the Tuscany Heights Neighborhood Sign as a U-turn area. Also, our crossing guards are trained by North East Police Department on traffic safety. Please be aware of their signs, lights, and whistles even if the light changes. They are following the safety protocols taught in their workshops. We are doing everything we can to enforce SAFETY at THE. We appreciate your support as well!
Thank you,
Tara Bailey

Volunteers Needed!
Tuscany Heights's ONE major fundraiser of the year, Run for the Heights (RFTH), is just around the corner on Saturday, 2/28. While we hope our Tuscany Heights families will come out to walk or run, we also need many volunteers before, during and after the race to ensure its success. We have set up a Run for the Heights Volunteer Spot group page with all of the opportunities. Come join us as we reach new heights for THE!
COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY – Feb 22 from 1-3 pm
Hey Tigers, with Run For The Heights just around the corner it’s time to think about tidying up our campus. On Sunday, February 22, we will be meeting at Tuscany Heights to pick up litter around the school. We will meet from 1pm-3pm. Volunteers are needed to help with this important task. We request that parents plan to stay and volunteer with their children, as we cannot properly supervise them while they walk all around picking up. Please plan to wear gloves and bring water. There will be a contest for the most unique item found!
5th grade students – 5th grade spirit is popping up all over campus. Don’t forget to make your mark by showing off your 5th grade spirit shirt on WILD Wednesday!
- Want an extra shirt?
- Don’t want to do laundry so often?

Run For The Heights!!!
http://runfortheheights.tuscanyheightspta.org/
Run For The Heights is just around the corner! Race Registration contests flyers and forms have gone home (see links). Our student and class contests end Feb 6th! Keep bringing in those registrations!! Online registrations can be designated for your class as well. Student incentives include a spirit stick, extra tech time in class & a special lunch in the library. Class rewards include extra recess, the Tusky 50 Yard Dash, & a bounce house during PE. The top 2 classes bringing in the most registrations will earn a brick building party from Bricks 4 Kidz!!
Would you like to see our principals run the Fun Run dressed as a Super Hero? Would you like to get prepared for the 5K? You can do both by completing the 28-day Activity Challenge. If we have at least 350 T.H.E. students complete the daily activity log AND register for the Fun Run for 5K, then our principals will run the Fun Run dressed as Super Heroes!!! Let's synergize and reach our goal!! Start Monday, Jan 26 in order to be finished by Feb 23. Turn in the completed forms to the front office.
Are you not able to make it to Run For The Heights? You can still be a "Spirit Runner" for only a $10 donation. Contribute to Run For The Heights while you sleep in for Tusky!! These 100% taxable donations will still count towards the registration contests! (No t-shirts or goody bags provided for spirit runners.)
We are looking forward to a great event! See you on Feb 28th!!

We’re a fun, supportive group who love making a difference on our campus, and we’re looking for volunteers to fill the following chairs:
Cafeteria – Legislative Action
We’re also looking for a volunteer to help with school pictures in the spring. If you would like more information or have any questions about any of the volunteer opportunities please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d be happy to visit with you.
