NO SCHOOL –Sept. 2, 2013
Parents,
It has been a great first week of school! We are thrilled to be back in the swing of things with your children. We hope that you enjoy the three day weekend and will be excited to greet everyone on Tuesday morning.
Next week is a busy, yet exciting week for Tuscany! We are hosting our first PTA meeting where you will get to meet all T.H.E. Staff and help us honor our WatchDOGS! It will be a fun family night (more information below). We hope you can make it!
Also, HEB has offered to pay us up to $1000 to try samples at their store! What an awesome opportunity! We have to visit about six stations and collect a stamp on a passport at each station. We receive $10 for each completed passport, up to $1000. See attached flyer and we hope that you will help us make an easy $1000! J
Finally, we are also welcoming all grandparents next week! We love honoring those special in our lives. The teachers and students have worked hard to plan activities for Friday morning. Please see the schedule below! We hope your grandparents can be here with us!
Thank you,
Tara Bailey

Helpful Information
504:
If your child has a medical condition that is monitored or treated in the clinic on either a daily basis or as needed, s/he can be considered for 504 eligibility. 504 is a federal anti-discrimination act that documents accommodations your child might require or be eligible for because of their medical condition. Your child will be bringing home the referral information very soon. Please complete the enclosed forms and return them to the counseling office as soon as possible. We are happy to be working with you for the success of your child.
RAPTOR:
School is in session! From this point forward, all visitors will need a RAPTOR Badge before entering the building. You can have one printed in the front office as soon as you arrive. All NEISD Staff, Subs, PTA, and/or Contractors will also be properly badged. Thank you for helping keep our students safe!
Arrival and Dismissal:
School opens at 7:15 a.m.
Staff arrives as early as 7:15 a.m. We ask that you not drop your child off before 7:15 because there will not be staff members in the building at this time to ensure their safety. If your work schedule does not allow this, we will work with you and arrange for your child to be monitored in the rotunda by one assistant that will arrive at 7:00 a.m. There is limited space, so we ask that you please work with us if possible. We want all of our students safely monitored while in our care!
Drills:
Throughout the school year, students will participate in practice drills for fire, bad weather, intruders, etc. Practice will occur to ensure our students are as well prepared as they possibly can be in the event we experience a real situation. We do take this serious and appreciate your support! We will do our best to keep you properly informed. We practiced our first fire drill this week and will conduct one more next week. We are required to practice twice within the first two weeks of school.
Breakfast and Lunch:
- Breakfast has increased to $0.95
- Lunch has increased to $1.95
