Parents,
We have an overwhelming number of parents dropping students off prior to 7:00a.m. and 7:15 a.m. Your children are UNATTENDED at this time. This presents a safety issue! Our staff works diligently between the hours of 7:15-3:45 and many days long hours after. However, they are not on duty until 7:15a.m. If they are in the building prior to 7:15, they are using their personal time to prepare for our students. Please be considerate of this time as we try our best to arrange our 8.5 hour day around when students are present. I do realize many of our parents have work schedules that require an early drop off; therefore, I have arranged for one staff member to be here and in the rotunda from 7:00-7:15a.m. to monitor students. Then, they are released to the cafeteria and gym areas.
Again, if you are dropping off prior to 7:00 a.m., your child will not have supervision during this time. As a principal, I do not recommend this, because your child's safety is a priority.
