Our annual Field Day was held on Friday, November 3rd. This year’s theme was a Fall Festival Field Day. With the help of our Local H.E.B and a local pumpkin patch (who donated many pumpkins) we were able to transform the outdoor field and blacktop into a fall pumpkin filled wonderland. There were many student stations available for the children to take part in friendly competitions and also work up a sweat. Including an 18 ft inflatable slide, a Spurs themed bouncy house and an inflatable obstacle course. A special thanks to all the parent volunteers, our specials team, and (of course!) our two wonderful P.E. coaches who helped make this event a special one.
Veteran’s Day 2017
Tuscany Heights students, staff and PTA were honored to celebrate our veterans at the annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Parade on November 10th. Over 90 current and previous military personnel were in attendance! After breakfast (provided and served by PTA volunteers) and a lovely T.H.E choir performance, student Lighthouse leader, Logan Smejkal, read a touching Veteran’s Day poem. Reagan JROTC provided the color guard that led the parade. The veterans’ names were proudly announced, and the entire student body cheered for them as they walked the parade. T.H.E. could not be prouder of these brave men and women that have served our country…we salute you! T.H.E. PTA Presents... Tuscany Heights Bike Rodeo
Tuscany Heights PTA held the annual Bike Rodeo on Thursday October 26, 2017. Officer Gordon Keogh was on hand to guide our participants through many different skill tests and obstacles. All participants are commended for their hard work and performance. A big THANK YOU to all volunteers that came out to help the Bike Rodeo a success!! Lunch with Loved Ones was a successful event that made our Tuscany Tigers feel extremely special! Many students were able to enjoy lunch with grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, and siblings. There were some that traveled many miles and even came from out of state to spend this special time with their Tiger. We thank all that were able to come and make the day special! We tried to capture the memory by taking pictures of all our Loved Ones with their student. Pictures from the event are displayed to the left of the rotunda and all of our students have really enjoyed finding their special picture! Stop by and take a look at how loved our Tigers are!
Thanks tigers for a fantastic Eat for a Cause night at Chick Fil A!! We made $744.60!!!
The night was a fun social night with a whole lot of students, teachers/administrators and families! Tuscany Heights families collected over 300 backpacks and many school supplies for students that were displaced from Aransas ISD (Rockport area) due to Hurricane Harvey. We are so thankful for everyone who donated- including Chase Bank! Last Friday, several students and parents gathered together to stuff the backpacks with supplies and encouraging notes from Tuscany Heights Elementary students. The backpacks are on their way to Portland ISD, which is expecting many of the displaced students from Rockport. Thank you so much for your generosity in helping our fellow Texans through such a difficult time. Our first General meeting was so fun! Everyone came hungry! (Who doesn't like hot dogs, nachos, and cotton candy?!) We highlighted volunteering for both parents and students to help recruit more volunteers and student leaders for our school. Our student leaders were set up and available for questions after the meeting. It was so fun to see them engaging their peers and younger students to get them excited about making their school a better place. Our book fair also was open for families to pre-shop! Welcome Back was a hit! Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who came out and helped make this back to school night so successful. So much was done- from stuffing folders and setting up for Meet the Teacher to welcoming new students and promoting the PTA in the gym. |
