Tuscany Heights families collected over 300 backpacks and many school supplies for students that were displaced from Aransas ISD (Rockport area) due to Hurricane Harvey. We are so thankful for everyone who donated- including Chase Bank! Last Friday, several students and parents gathered together to stuff the backpacks with supplies and encouraging notes from Tuscany Heights Elementary students. The backpacks are on their way to Portland ISD, which is expecting many of the displaced students from Rockport. Thank you so much for your generosity in helping our fellow Texans through such a difficult time.
Our first General meeting was so fun! Everyone came hungry! (Who doesn't like hot dogs, nachos, and cotton candy?!) We highlighted volunteering for both parents and students to help recruit more volunteers and student leaders for our school. Our student leaders were set up and available for questions after the meeting. It was so fun to see them engaging their peers and younger students to get them excited about making their school a better place. Our book fair also was open for families to pre-shop! |
