Welcome to May! We have lots of final objectives to teach in order to wrap up this school year. We hope that you will help us encourage the students to continue showing exemplary behavior and working really hard for their students. We are so proud of our student leaders!
This week, we are taking time to show our appreciation to all of our staff. I am so pleased to work with this group of staff members. They are incredibly caring and go the extra mile for students. Teacher Appreciation Week – May 4- 8 Our Tuscany Heights teachers and staff play a key role in student success and sometimes a simple "Thanks" is all a teacher needs to feel valued. During this first week of May, we are taking the time to celebrate your students' teachers for all of their hard work and dedication throughout the school year. Our Tuscany Heights PTA has put together a fun list of ideas to allow students to say thank you. The list provided outlines our school themed ideas only, and you do not have to participate if you have other ideas in mind to thank your teacher this week! Check out the website to see the themed ideas or your teacher’s list of Teacher Favorites .
Tuesday, May 5 is our last PTA General Meeting of the year. It will begin at 6:30 in the Cafeteria.
TRASH FREE LUNCH – Our Tigers will be promoting a better environment through a trash free lunch on Thursday, May 7. If you have a truly trash free-lunch that day you will earn a Spirit Stick– trays are automatic – but if you bring your lunch, please have recyclable or reusable containers. You can earn points for your classroom and the class in each grade level with the most points will win a prize! Our cafeteria, custodians, administrations, and students have worked toward greatly reducing the amount of trash produced in our cafeteria daily. Show them and the earth that you care and let’s go TRASH FREE!!!
Our Tigers are Making Tracks! - Parents, come join your student on Friday, May 22 during their PE Class for Tiger Tracks! Students and their families will run/walk laps to earn rewards. The class in each grade with the most family participation will earn new recess equipment! The attached flyer has all the details and the class schedule. If you can volunteer before/after your child's class period, sign up on Volunteer Spot. More (updated) info is available on our PTA website. Thank you for supporting your healthy Tigers!
JACKETS and MITTENS and LUNCH BOXES, oh my!
It's that time of year when we put away our winter clothes and get ready for spring...BUT where is YOUR child's winter jacket/sweater/hoodie??? Check out THE's LOST and FOUND! We have MANY items waiting to be claimed, please help us find their homes. At the end of the semester, all unclaimed items will be donated.
Also, please label your child's clothing and other items so if they find their way to the LOST and FOUND, we can try to get them back to you. It’s a Win-Win! Thank you!!!
Want to get involved? With the election of our new PTA officers, we are filling chair positions for 2015-16. If you would like more information or have any questions about any of the volunteer opportunities please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d be happy to visit with you.
