Welcome Back to School! We are so excited to greet each one tomorrow for the first day! We hope that you have all enjoyed time off and relaxation, but we are thrilled to embark on the 2014-15 school year!
In knowing that that the first day brings so much emotion for all, please know that teachers will be throughout the hallway to help students transitioning into a new school or new grade level. We are here to help! For our new Kinder friends, administrators and counselors are here to help calm them and make their first day at T.H.E. fabulous. We will also be in the cafeteria to help them open cartons, bags, etc during their lunch time. We are prepared to make this day successful for all!
Parents help us by ensuring that your child’s teacher knows how your child will be traveling home for the first week of school as well as the weeks to follow. We encourage consistency in the way you choose for your child to go home in the afternoons; however, I know that many of you may have changes. We ask that you inform your child’s teacher each day those changes will occur prior to 2:00pm. *All Kindergarten walkers must have someone at the crosswalk with them or an older sibling before being released to walk home. Please don’t assume they know! Thank you for reaching out to the teachers to make this process smooth and safe for all!
As we are encouraging all students to show leadership, we ask that you let them walk to class on their own. We do understand the first three days of school families may want to walk their children to their classroom. We understand! You will be given VISITOR Stickers to access our hallways. Starting Thursday, please allow them to do it on their own. For Kinder students, we will have staff and safety patrol out front to meet you at your car or at the front door. We will ensure that our students make it to their classroom. Should you wish to walk to class after the first three days, you will need to check in with the office to get a RAPTOR Badge. There will be no exceptions starting Thursday. Thank you for understanding!
Let’s have a great first week!
Thank you for trusting us with your sweet children!
