What a wild start to November! Rain, cool temperatures, awards assembly, book fair, field trips, …and so much more. The students and staff are definitely busy, busy, busy, and we keep our parents busy too! Thank you for all that you do to support our campus learning and happenings!
We managed to keep the book fair one and half more days, through Nov. 11th (until Noon). Please stop by and check out all the great books, and don’t forget to let our Veteran’s know about the event too. It will be open after the Veteran’s Day Parade.
We are exciting about the Veteran’s Day Parade! Thank you for serving our country and we are proud to recognize all of our soldiers that have T.H.E. Connections. Here’s to Tuesday!
We are also hosting another big event this week, PAWSitive Dog Leadership Event, November 13th at 5pm. We will have WatchDOGS grilling hot dogs and we are asking students to bring pet food donations to help support our community serve project for this event. Student leaders will be prepared to teach you the Covey Way starting at 6pm in the classroom areas. We hope you will come, eat, learn, and have a “Dog-gone Good” Time with us.

FIELD DAY! Our Annual Field Day event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 11th, immediately following the Veterans’ Parade.
Here is the schedule:
Field Day is a favorite among our students. Our PE teachers plan a number of fun activities for the students to enjoy, including inflatables. We do need a lot of volunteer support to keep the stations running smoothly. The first shift is from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM and the second shift is 11:45 AM -2:45 PM. Lunch will be provided by THE PTA for our all-day volunteers. Come out and enjoy the day with your child and support this fun event!
Winter Spirit Items – Winter spirit items are just around the corner. Look for an order form to be coming home soon. These items are by pre-order only - orders due by November 21. Items will be delivered to students in time for our Winter Break.
Faculty Favorites are LIVE online! Check out the favorites of our teachers and staff by visiting the PTA website. You can access it by “Helpful links” and then “Favorite Things” or by clicking here.
