We’ve had a great week with your children! Thank you for all of your support as we kicked off the 2012-13 school year.
Our staff worked hard to make our school welcoming this August! Their hard work and dedication is truly appreciated!
I would also like to acknowledge our fabulous PTA. These ladies and gentlemen have gone above and beyond for all students here at Tuscany Heights. They have pulled early morning and late night hours to prepare for the arrival of our students. We couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you to all!
Thank you,
Tara Bailey

Lunch Procedures
We have become increasingly aware of allergies on our campus. We have, at this time, about 7 severe allergies per grade level. Please remember our lunch procedures in regards to visitors. It is important that parents give permission for their child to sit with you and your child at lunch. We are also taking careful steps toward making staff aware of allergies in the event an incident were to occur as well as keeping student information confidential.
Thank you for your support!
LUNCHTIME PROCEDURES Parents are always welcome to have lunch with their child at school. We have a designated parent table for the lunch visit. This time is set aside for you and your child to enjoy lunch together. However, if your child
would like another student to join them, we must have that student’s parent provide written permission. If someone other than the parent, guardian, and/or emergency contact is coming for lunch, please send a note to the teacher in the morning giving permission for the visit and ensure the visitor is prepared to show proper ID to enter the school. The note will be sent to the office to verify your permission.
* On state testing days, STAAR Assessment Days, Tuscany will be a closed campus to all visitors in order to provide a respectful, quiet, and secure testing environment.

Watch DOGS Dads, uncles, granddads, step-dads--volunteer to be a Watch DOG for at least one day during this school year! Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is an innovative program being launched this year which enables fathers and father-figures be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears at Tuscany Heights. On Monday, Sept. 17th, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm we will be having our 1st annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night. We will have a presentation about the program, answer questions, and then allow you to register and pick your day to be the "Hero of the Hallway." Simply go to tuscanyheightspta.org/welcome-back <http://tuscanyheightspta.org/welcome-back>
to register with our PTA and RSVP, or email watchdogs@tuscanyheightspta.org stating that you will attend the pizza night. We desire to have an accurate head count for food and drinks as a large turnout is expected. See you then!
You’re invited to a Volunteer Coffee Orientation, Wednesday, 9/18 @9:30 AM, in the cafeteria: Come find out how to get more
involved in PTA and volunteer at Tuscany. Learn how to use PTO Manager and about all the great opportunities to make a difference at school. For more information, please contact Donna Oyler, 4th-VP Volunteers, volunteers@tuscanyheightspta.org.
